Originally, this project consisted of just one trophy. The client provided the model, and on inspection of this, we recommended using the HP MJF printer as the best course of action to provide both the detail and sharpness required.
After successful completion of this first trophy, we then received a follow up order for four further trophies. The trophies were provided for a games tournament, as part of a 16.5 hour build time that takes place over a 3 day process.
During this process, the build is done on an evening before being left to cool during the day. The trophies were just 150mm tall, which is significantly small in light of the level of intricate detail achieved. Our client, Liquid Crimson, then painted the trophies to achieve a striking, metallic finish.
