Jet Turbine

We were recently commissioned to print a model Jet Turbine for our clients, Creative RSK, to share during an AR experience at the Dubai Airshow exhibition; the idea being that the AR technology would show the inner workings and mechanisms within the Turbine model.

The 400mm long model was printed in one build within 16.5 hours. We decided to print the model in two parts; the main body and the turbine fan so we could process the print properly, ensuring we could get in at each section of the print during the blasting process.

We chose our HP MJF to print this model due to the high detail, strength and the non-porous surface achievable which is important as the model will be returned to us at a later date to be nickel-plated.
